The National Youth Day was celebrated enthusiastically at SSM

The 12th January being the Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is celebrate as the National Youth Day.
In a unique presentation, 3000 students of the SSM’s institutions demonstrated the Surya Namaskaras in Unity and Rhythm. In the early hours of the day, while the golden yellow aura of a the rising Sun was filling the nature with a magical light, the presentation revealed a scenic beauty of opening and closing of a huge lotus flower.
Adding to the spirit of unity and integrity, even the village community took part in the activity voluntarily.

A training programme conducted on Basic Financial Documentations and Management for the Administration and Accounts staff Staff.

An organisation’s progress is largely influenced by its financial resources and management. A training programme was conducted for all the employees working under Accounts & Audit section. Shri Purankumar Zha, from Financial Management Service Foundation and Centre for Promoting Accountability, New Delhi, gave the guidance on audit, training and empowerment, on 23 and 24th January 2015.

The training highlighted the Basic Financial Management, Budgeting, Introduction internal control and key areas of internal control. A discussion was held on changed rules and regulations applicable to the institution.  Reviewing the present Audit System, he suggested necessary inputs.

SSM Celebrated Silver Jubilee year of Technical School

Successful 25 educational year of Minimum Competency Vocational Course Dept (MCVC) department for best result were celebrated on 12th January. All current students were organised an exhibition on the occasion with various techno projects on display.


The event was carried throughout the whole year by the students and faculties of the dept with a set of multiple activities. To name a few were like

a)Cycle Pedal operated water pump to save electricity by using a V-Belt, a motor, pipe and a scrap wheel. It operates without electricity and it’s found highly efficient for the marginal farmers during electric cut.

b)Automatic plants watering system, this system can be operated through a mobile phone to switch on/off the water pump in the farm, using this technology farers can be accessible to their equipments at farm, because sometime it’s difficult to go farm for operating equipment in rainy season. 
Other projects included Smart Traffic Control System, Solar Car and Blown Fuse Indicator etc.

Talents of MCVC students who were behind these projects were greatly appreciated by the delegates, invitees and all other visitors.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nanded University Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar inspires the Teachers:

“Be a willful, Resourceful and Faithful teacher,” advised Dr. Pandit Vidyasagar, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathawada University (Nanded).He was the Guest of Honor to SSM and visited the campus. In his address delivered at Sainiki Vidyalay, he said that the teacher community had a great responsibility in making the Nation. They should upgrade their knowledge to cope up with the changes that are taking place around.  Customary skills must be taught along with formal education.He further stated that physical amenities make no difference if one focuses on ‘what you learn that matters and not where you learn.’ Students should be provided with liberal opportunities to observe and analyze all kinds of changes and this would leads to research and invention.  If the foundation is strengthened during school days, they can contribute in Nation’s Research work.Chairman Shri Pramod Deshmukh, in his Presidential address observed, “Children have great acquisition ability but teachers have to find best way to deliver best knowledge.” Also he has given an example of children, they can learn Smart Phones without any training.Vice-Chancellor has appreciated Sainiki Vidyalaya, Science Park, KVK, Vocational Trainings, Anand Balgram and other programmes.

SSM students organised an exhibition on Bio-diversity.

SSM has been working on ‘Gene Bank Project’ in association with the Government of Maharashtra form the past one year.  Many efforts are being taken for the conservation of birds, plants, traditional seed varieties, which are on the verge of extinction due to climatic changes and human interference.  Some projects on Bio-diversity had been assigned to the Crop Science students on 28 and 29th January 2015.

Stalls demonstrated local Seeds, local insect and pest, local flora and fauna erected by active students on the occasion also presented valuable information on the Bio-diversity.  The students, villagers and staff members visited the exhibition and took the information about how we can conserve the Bio-diversity.

Reunion of SSM’s Alumni was a great Success at Pune.

More than 150 Alumni of SSM schools gather at Aagakhan Palace in Pune on 1st February 2015 for a reunion. The whole venue echoed with their past memories while they were at school. It was a commendable act of their prudence that they held serious discussions on how all those could contribute to the endeavor of Samskruti Samvardhan mandal.
A wonderful Power point presentation was presented by Mr. Rohit Deshmukh in front of all participants; it was about briefing the current activity and progress of SSM. 
During event many students were expressed their gratitude towards their mentors and also assured to extend a helping hand in the activities of SSM.
Unanimously, it was resolved to meet every year, on the Second Sunday of the February, to review, revise and update their action plan.  SSM’s well-wisher, Padmashri  Shobhatai  Ranade sponsored the venue.


The Nanded District CEO, Shri. Aabhimanyu Kale visited Sagroli.

In compliance with the Swach Bharat Abhiyan launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  the  Chief Executive Officer of Nanded Zilla Parishad, Shri Abhimanyu Kale visited Sagroli on 17th of February. 
He had been here to accelerate the task of building toilet blocks and Soak pits. The Purpose of which is to keep the surroundings dry lest to avoid diseases caused due to mosquito breeding.
He was informed that more than 1390 toilet blocks were constructed and remaining would be completed soon.  Later he visited all units of SSM.
At night, the teachers of SSM schools performed a street play on the theme of Swach Bharat Abhiyan.  It aimed to create an awareness of Sanitation and Healthy atmosphere among the village communities.

Agro Tech Festival organized to upgrade farmers knowledge

An Agro Tech Festival was organized by the Science Farm Center (KCK) Sagroli for the farmers in Nanded District from 19th to 22nd January 2015 with an objective to acquaint farmers with the latest technique and technology for agriculture. Our main guests  Mr. Padwal (District Agriculture Officer, Nanded), Mr. More (District Agriculture Development Officer, Nanded) and Mr. Dahale (Project Director – Atma, Nanded) were   addressed farmers on the inauguration day.  Demonstration, training and expert guidance arranged on the occasion.
Considering the unpredictable adverse climatic conditions, the farmers were suggested to take up various additional side businesses for their sustenance to prevent future economical challenges. Farmers were got exposure from the model of successful goat and poultry-farming which were running experimental level at KVK Sagroli. At the time of this event farmers were guided with all kinds of expert support and demonstration for side businesses from agriculture.
They were also told about the importance of prudent water management with drip irrigation and hirable tools in the agriculture.
To overcome the drought conditions, the farmers were advised to utilize home-grown seed corn instead of going for hybrid ones.  As a matter of prudent farming they can reap harvest with the due consideration of market conditions.
As far as women’s participation in farming is concerned, the experts were of the view that they had a Lion’s share in Indian farming.  Women had been considerably contributing to the farming, besides their household responsibilities. 
During the special session for women in the festival, the experts advised women that it was the need of the hour for them to go for a change.  Now, they should try to contribute their efforts in agriculture. A demonstration of tools designed for the women to be useful in the kitchen and farming was arranged.
On the concluding, the farmers were guided on the importance of animal husbandry.

The whole event was greatly successful.





Sainiki Vidyalaya’s Ritesh Amle participated as national player in National Foot ball Event at Assam.

Ritesh Amle, 7th std. student at Sainiki Vidylaya played from Maharashtra Football Team at the National Level football lounge conducted this year at Guwahati, Assam in the first week of February.
While playing the state level Tournament Wardha, Amle’s football talent caught attention of the juries and they were confident that this energetic sports Youngman can participate in National level challenge for Maharashtra team.
Amle’s strategic moves and concentration on the ground were commended by many opponent teams as well.
In an occasion, the state sports authority felicitated the star football player.

Food festival to empower women

This Second Annual Food Festival was organized jointly by the Utkarsh Agro Industries and training centre (KVK, Sagroli) and Taniksha, a Women Empowerment platform (Initiative of SSM and Sakal group) on 4th January at Sagroli.
In more than 20 stalls, variety of delicious snacks, food, sweets and desserts were prepared by the Tanishka and other groups of women were served for retailing.  Festive atmosphere was seen when crowd of men, women, young and old alike had enjoyed the taste of traditional and modern range of snacks at food festival.
Through festival many women motivated and realized how they can empower their life with their fantastic cooking skills and  The Utkarsh Agro Industries and training centre, plans and manifests activities to empower rural women community.  Apart from providing training in food processing, catering technology, Utkarsha assists interested women to start cottage industries


Prachand Mayuri proven her knowledge at Elocution on Swachha Bharat

After constant hat trick since three year and this year also SSM students won this District Level Elocution Competition, Prachand Mayuri, a student of SCS Jr College won first place at the District Level Elocution Competition organized by the District Water Supply and Sanitation Dept, Nanded.
The theme of this year was in the Promotin of ‘Swachha Bharat’ Campaign, preceded by various social awareness themes during the previous years.  The presentation style and energy of the winner was applauded by all the judges.
